VISOFOLD 1000
Our aluminium bi folding doors are constructed using Smart Systems VISOFOLD 1000 folding sliding door system.
Slim sight lines
The door has been designed to eliminate the requirement for mullions between the panels and produces very slim sight lines of just 132mm.
Thermally broken
Doors are manufactured using Polyamide thermally broken aluminium profiles for superior insulation and durability and the system uses bespoke aluminium extrusions specifically designed for folding sliding doors to ensure effortless operation for years to come.
Overall U-value
A Visofold 1000 door specified with our standard double glazing would
typically achieve an overall 1.5 U-value and easily achieve Doc L 2010
building regulations compliance which require a 1.8 U-value of less.
Please note
However that the actual overall U-value for a specific door will vary
depending on the style and options chosen. Further reductions in the
U-value of our bifold doors is possible but would require the use of a
different glazing specification. If you have a specific requirement please
contact us for a quotation.
Weather Rating
Aluminium bi folding doors have been tested to BS 6375: Part 1: 2009
meeting the requirements for air permeability, water tightness and
resistance to wind loads. A copy of the test report is available on
request.

Colour Options
The most popular colour choices are White, Grey and Black. These colours are stocked and can be manufactured with shorter lead in times.

Hardware colours
Door handles are available in a choice of Chrome, Black, White or Silver Satin.
Hinges and pull handles can be Black or White. The common choice is Black hinges, as they match the gaskets installed around the doors and glass.

Venetian is a magnetic system with manual operation (raising and tilting function) for venetian blinds incorporated within insulated glass units.
The external magnetic device applied on the glass by means of high-resistance adhesive tape contains a cord loop and a magnet that is perfectly interfaced with the magnetic joint of the internal drive, which is completely housed inside the head rail. The movement provided to the cord enables the rotation of the magnets that activate the blind.
The cord is kept under tension by means of a special cord tensioner applied on the glass.
